“Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil, and you’re a thousand miles from the cornfield.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower
Partnering closely with farm owners Brooke Remmers and Sam Ehrenfeld, we left the desk behind and stepped into the fields to develop the brand identity for Schoolhouse Farm. This organic farm, nestled in East Calais, Vermont, is dedicated to producing sustainably raised meats, vegetables, and eggs for the local community.
Our goal was to highlight what sets Schoolhouse Farm apart within Vermont’s vibrant agricultural landscape. Through a thoughtful blend of brand strategy, naming, and visual identity, we cultivated a brand that reflects the farm’s unique ethos and commitment to organic, sustainable farming practices.

The hand-drawn logo depicts the namesake building – a classic one-room schoolhouse located on the land in East Calais. It breathes unique life into the brand; carrying the story of the farm’s inception and infusing a rich sense of place and nostalgia.
